War of the Worlds. It was one of the first albums I had as a teenager (I was many things, but cool wasn't one of them) and I've just stumbled across the Liam Neeson version on Sky Arts. That's my night sorted!

The band allegedly got kicked out at Creation Records by Alan McGee after he signed Oasis.
A long time favorite in my vinyl collection.

This is new to me. And I like its dour outlook. It sounds like stone roses crossed with longpigs. Which is right up my street. Cheers.
