Ned’s Atomic Dustinbin....really....
Well, my big summer project was to clean out our overgrown garage and make some real usable space, but what did my eyes spy buried under a pile of suitcases and a camping tent...!! A big blue bin filled with cassettes from various bands I was in and a pile of real honest to goodness cd’s PLUS a bunch of band t-shirts all folded up nicely in sealed ziplock bags.
The first CD I opened was Ned’s “Bite” cd with corresponding period correct tour t-shirt. I have not listened to this stuff in years and years but holy shit. I realized how much I loved Ned’s. Happy is my fav Ned’s song....I am feeling a bit nostalgic about this, but I think the first 3cd’s hold up...great music. I just thought they were so unique. Anybody else into Ned’s.
I actually found two Ned shirts. ALSO, they released a Ned’s acoustic music cd....so kill your television...

Live Ned’s from last year.

They're great! I saw them at First Avenue every time they came to town.

Love Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. My favorite songs by them are Trust and Titch.

All That I Ask of Myself always manages to find itself on my playlists. Great song and band.

Saw them in '91/2 on the Godfodder tour and it was great. They had lots of energy and fun tunes, need to revisit them again, thanks for the reminder!

I was never into the “crusty” scene, The Wonderstuff and Carter USM left me pretty cold, but I did have a soft spot for the Neds, there seemed to be something slightly more melodic about their songs that I liked.

Re: Ned’s Atomic Dustinbin....really....
Much love for them over here, since around 1993, I still listen to them all the time with my top three most listened to albums being....
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Are You Normal?
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - 0.522
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - God Fodder
Which doesn't leave much else tbh. But Are You Normal? gets the most listens, mostly during morning walks. I always loved Rat's guitar tone and style but the double bass was truly what set them apart, such a unique sound and they truly got some good mileage out of it. Great to see they're still together and playing live! I've seen Rat still works as a session guitarist would be cool if Ned's released a new album... can't imagine how it would sound in this day and age or if they'd ever do another.

Re: Ned’s Atomic Dustinbin....really....
Heheheh!! I was a dreads, combat pants, large T over a hoodie & doc boots kinda kid back then (so verging on crusty) but very much into the hardcore/grunge scene instead so I never really got into any of the aforementioned bands.
I actually meant to name drop these other bands for the benefit of the above posters. Looks like you saved me a job. I have particularly bad memories of Carter USM & The Wonder Stuff and can't imagine they've aged well but I could very easily be wrong.
I don't know why I'm so surprised that there's this much love for the Neds...but I am!
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

This is firmly in the “didn’t age well” category for me.

I don’t know, the recent live stuff seems really good.
