I suppose some people might be there, and not sure if anyone outside the U.K. can see the BBC footage… has anyone watched any particularly good sets?
Going to check out Robert Plant, Wolf Alice, Big Thief & First said Kit. There’s always a few surprises from bands I’m not really into & it’s great having a catalogue of live sets to see on iplayer.

Not sure if he’ll be playing your show, but a fave guit/singer of mine JD McPherson has been playing with Robt Plant and Alison Kraus lately. He’s amazing

Doesn’t look like he’s in the U.K. anytime soon. Will check him out though.whitewatersky wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 3:27 amNot sure if he’ll be playing your show, but a fave guit/singer of mine JD McPherson has been playing with Robt Plant and Alison Kraus lately. He’s amazing
Just watching Haim’s set. They’re such a great festival band & I loved the new album.

Being terminally unhip, I enjoyed what I saw of Paul McCartney's set, despite his voice being on its last legs at this point. Yeah, he's not afraid to be corny, but what a back catalogue.

I watched the two songs the BBC made available in the US. Yeah the guy is a legend, and I like that he is openly struggling with the songs in their original keys. Bringing out Dave Grohl to play a song and making a point of letting him know how the audience loves him -- that seems like something a good friend would do.UlricvonCatalyst wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 12:40 amBeing terminally unhip, I enjoyed what I saw of Paul McCartney's set, despite his voice being on its last legs at this point. I understand that anything McCartney brings out the edgelords, but the quantity and quality of his output speaks for itself. Imagine a song like "For No One" not even being in the top 10 or 20 songs you have written. Just ridiculous.
