Hey, OSG family. I'm excited to announce my band Half Tail's new EP Catching Frogs At Night is out now on
Bandcamp and streaming services. We're not doing any physical media, but high resolution downloads are available.
This is a departure from the scrappy indie rock I typically make with my other projects. This is much more polished and also more rock n' roll. There are hooks and guitar solos, and offsets are heavily represented. I hope you'll give it a listen.

I like that. It's got a really pleasing laid-back slacker vibe - took me right back to the mid-90s

Lyrics are nicely constructed in their prosody and just the right amount of 'clever'.
Look forward to hearing the rest
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Thanks! That’s exactly the vibe we’re going for. I’m the old guy in the band, so that stuff just comes naturally.
I’m not the lead singer/writer here, but yeah I agree. James rides that line well.

Yeah I like this a lot too.
Hearing grown ups making cool music make me feel better about approaching 40 & wanting to play in a power pop band.

I'm 40 in just a few weeks and my new, power pop (with a touch of punk), band are just about to release our first EP! I'm done making obtuse beard-scratching tunes that only 9 dudes will ever listen to....hooks and choruses from now on
Do it!

Sounds great Seth! Does a nice job of sounding like both excited pop and slacker rock. The guitar hook is like "let's go man!" and the lyrical tone is like "but why?" It's a neat trick.

Yeah. I turn 49(!) next week. I still play some beard scratchin’ music with my other projects, but it’s really fun to play shinier, poppier guitar music with lyrics people can understand.
Thanks for giving it a listen, everyone. Looks like Don’t Worry, Ma is up as a single now on most if not all of the streaming places.

40 is the new 27 I hear.
I'll be sure to post it in this section when it's all done. Just one more track to come back from mixing and it'll be public.
