DOD 250?

Post by spiffy chap » Mon Oct 22, 2007 2:00 pm

Anybody have one of these? The yellow preamp overdrive. I can get one for $15, is it worth it?

From what I hear, GOD yes. $15? What do you have to lose?

Basically, if BYOC make a clone of it, you're talking about a well-regarded pedal. That's my take, anyway.

come on! you see on the inside pic, that's just few resistors, some caps and an IC, how can you spend 500€ on that?
Even if that IC is no longer made (and that's not the case if I don't go wrong) that's not securely worth the price..

yeah it's just ridiculous. it's probably cause people like jerry garcia and yngwie malmsteen used them.

well I can almost understend spending 500€ on the first edition VU & Nico, that disc was made by the "factory" itself, it has the "peel me off" feature etc etc but come on , a pedal is only something you have to stomp on, who care if it's grey or yellow?..it costs a evem more than tri-knobs muffs, and that's really something you'll never get in the same shape cuz it was made of crappy parts that  none is producing anymore..
