I took a family portrait of just my high gain distortion boxes (no OD, no boosts, no fuzz).
Chuckling at the stark difference in the ratio of knobs to pedals in our respective photos… :D
I generally prefer less knobs. My most used out of those are the 3 on the top right. The Guv'nor is stellar, but the jacks and switch are fairly fragile (30 year old pedal), so it only comes out for recording sessions. The Hot Rod Custom (big one) is awesome, but I was mostly just using the left (orange) side, so I picked up the Compact Hot Rod.

How much do the 29 pedals help?

They definitely help with a larger board. They're also great tools for sculpting your sound. I was a skeptic when I bought my first EUNA. I was fairly certain that I'd end up just returning it. Now I have the EUNA/OAMP combo on both of my boards.

I've made a few changes over the last couple of months.

Thanks. That’s why I ask. My board is getting pretty big and I’m starting to be concerned with what I’m losing tone wise. I think these are something that will be in the horizon for me

Beautiful board! What are you using for MIDI control? I see the CB pedals are attached to the MIDI box but I'm not seeing a dedicated MIDI controller. Is it one of the other MIDI pedals (e.g., Mobius) sending commands?

I'm using an Elektron Analog Four synth as the midi controller. It feeds midi into the Disaster Area MIDI Four. This is an older pic, but the synth setup is still the same.

Elektron stuff can be very confusing for a while. I watched many tutorial videos in the beginning. Once you learn the "Elektron way", it's fairly easy and intuitive to use most of their machines.

I took my board apart the other day, so I grabbed a pic of everything. It's mostly stuff I've made myself, so good luck recognizing anything. There are a few off-the-shelf pieces in the back (I did give a few of those away the day after I took this pic).

My board after re-assembling; dirt in the front, modulation in the back:

Right now the unused ones are banging around in a box. But after my wife and I move, I'd love to set up some kind of velcro covered rails or a board on a wall by my guitars. Then I could display and organize all the pedals I have made, with room for plenty more. My goal is to have a "library" of cool and classic circuits that I can have at hand, in consistent formats. Then I can easily switch things around to suit my mood, while also displaying my little art projects.

Board

Here’s everything save for an MXR D+ and an EHX Satisfaction Plus.
I promised my bandmate I’d sell him back his SS/BS Buzzz, but I’ve got a KatanaSound Furious Man (Japan) headed over any day.

If I had to, I could get on with just the Holy Grit, SuperHigh, and the FuzzLord.

The silver pedal is a Catbox Customs variation on an HP-2.
Black sharpie pedal is just a Carcosa… which rules.

Almost everything.
Yikes.
On the table to sort towards a round of slimming down.

Updated pic before I pack most of them away for a while. I need to pick out 8-10 to take with me while we're houseless (6 months maybe?). I'll bring enough cables for three pedals at a time max, along with my Tweed Princeton (modded VHT).
