Re: Setup of the day
I've just added a Lehle volume pedal to my board, I opted for the 'S' version as its a bit smaller and easily replaced my old Vox volume pedal without having to rearrange the whole board.
This thing is smooooooth and sounds great, the preamp adds a little high end, but nothing ice picky, and so I just needed to turn down the treble on my KTR a tiny bit.
The S version has 4 presets: 0 dB, +5 dB or +10 dB. I've no idea what "the preset P4 is the chef’s speciality and remains an audiophile surprise" is though. I use it in 0dB mode, the boosts do sound good but I've got a treble booster working overtime already so surplus to my requirements.
Excuse the mess, in the middle of moving house:

Re: Setup of the day
Yeah it’s a great sounding setup. The lehle and the OD855 mean it can get growly at any volume, which is handy when you’ve got young kids!

Re: Setup of the day
Fiddling with my "B" rig this rainy Sunday. I have a common "main" setup at home and the practice space, so my usual setup is my usual setup.
This is my "postpunk/electric 12/Bass VI/bass" board. It works great for any of those. Close enough to my usual suspects to feel like my wheelhouse, but some different selections, different choices in the same category, etc... this and the unique character of the Mustang makes me play differently. And I've been listening to a lot of early New Order lately, so I'm in the zone.

Re: Setup of the day
Hahaha, good eye! Yeah, no shame in the B game, but it was actually practical - I wanted a visual way to distinguish it from other orange, vaguely Boss-shaped gain pedals, and that blue and orange of the old-school Superfuzz is so distinctive...

Good to see you've rebuilt from multifx well. This board covers a whole load of territory...I'd happily rock that. Well done Matt, well done

Cheers. Largely due to the help & advice of folk on herejohnnysomersett wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 12:42 pmGood to see you've rebuilt from multifx well. This board covers a whole load of territory...I'd happily rock that. Well done Matt, well done
This has everything I’d ever reasonably want. Delays will come & go. I might try a chorus out. Oh & I’ve for a nano muff to replace the Russian muff clone.
Yep. Despite having all the sounds I need, I’ll find ways to make this board a money sink.

It’s a perfect, straightforward analogue delay. Given the likelihood of me mostly using it with drive, in retrospect I could have paid half the price for non-boutique. But I use it more than the digital delay at the moment so it’s definitely doing its thing.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 9:34 pmThat is indeed an amazing setup!!! I do kinda want to get an old blood noise oilcan delay again through…

Re: Setup of the day
That's awesome. I've never owned a true analog delay, as my favorite delays have been analog-voiced digital, but I've been wanting a Delay Llama pretty hardcore.sal paradise wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 11:08 pmIt’s a perfect, straightforward analogue delay. I feel like I mightve mentioned this before, but if you're looking for the oil can delay sound, don't forget about the EQD Space Spiral. I played both in a local store, and ended up not liking the Black Fountain as much as the Space Spiral. The EQD is discontinued now, so you might be able to find some used for a good price:

This is the video that made me absolutely fall in love with it too. From Knobs
Earthquaker Devices - Space Spiral
This one is also really fun though!!

That's the hotness. And the Marshall has the perfect amount of dirty on it for peak rocking.
