Re: Setup of the day
Darryl, the singer/guitarist in the band actually programs all the beats hit by hit...we don't use loops at all...it's totally crazy, two of the three machines are full and there's like 3 songs on each!garyfanclub wrote: i find him to be a total PITA.
honestly, i've given up trying to use it as a reliable drum machine. It's quirky and weird sounding though, hence why I have it. (and the ridiculous mid 60's home organ).
actually, he probably knows the manual by heart (or pretty damn near to it!)
the sound is definitely worth it

Hey are you really Steve Albini?zhivago wrote:garyfanclub wrote:it's a roland mc-303noirengineer wrote: that's hot.. what's that box on top of the organ.. ?
basically a drum machine/sequencer/sampler from the mid 90's that's unbelievably clunky and user-unfriendly so I don't use it as such. It does have some pretty gritty and dated sounding pads though, which are really really neat for filling space/creating ambiance in band situations, especially when run through delay/dirt.
hey!!
that's my band's drummer...we actually have three of them

Re: Setup of the day
This is such a cool thread. Love it!
All my gear is at work at the moment, but over Christmas I'm going to have it set up downstairs in the house for some recording - see if I can't get a nice recorded guitar sound for once in my life! Pics will, of course, follow. Can't wait for you guys to see the Marshall / HH combination. It's fucking immense, in every sense.
