It just got here a week ago. I just finished swapping a couple pots, a new quad of Winged C EL34s and a couple other odds and ends. It sounds amazing. It's a lot like the '76 Overdrive 120 that I have, but it has a good bit more gain. With the gain and volume controls maxed out (yes, it's VERY loud!!), it has enough gain that you don't need a fuzz box. But what's the fun in that? Heheheh.noirengineer wrote: holy sh*t -- when did you get a green?

a friend of mine does that too but only with one VC. i do similar things with my POD x3. it's fun and really is greater than the sum of the parts.i love sharin foo wrote:

Not many people know this, but for a long time I ran a Musicmaster bass amp (an early one with 6AQ5A output tubes) and a pair of silverface Champs (one Vibro-, one regular)They sounded great to be sure. I just got to the point where I was feeling really limited by having any less than a massive bass response.
Keep 'em coming everybody!!
