I use water slide decal paper printed with an inkjet printer. I then clearcoat over it. They look best with a dark border. Otherwise the edge of the decal is really apparent.
I generally draw and color the artwork by hand then scan it. My wife will usually help out with laying and sizing text for controls.
Well unfortunately, my attempts to do it that way, I mean : painting, decal-ing, coating... All failed
: unexpected poor looking
or non abuse-resistant results
. So I went for another finishing technique, using stock epoxy-painted boxes and crazy derelict plates

Those are amazing!! They would fit in nicely on a 1950's space ship control console too! That last one with the rhombus (rhombus?) shaped enclosure is the coolest thing I've seen in forever! I've come across plates like those before and always try to save them, but never thought about using them for pedals...

Well... Now you know what to do with your saved plates collection !
Those "rhombus" (trapezoidal-shaped) boxes can be found at tube-town.net :

But are certainly available via another suppliers.

I think I already posted this somewhere - but it belongs here (too?)!
The Dynamic Duo: BATARANG REVERB & THE BOY WONDER TREMOLO: aka Surfy Industries Surfy Bear Spring Reverb and Surfy Trem in a self bent aluminium enclosure based on the one of a Maestro B:ass Master. It took my four attempts to attach the transfer foil without bubbles. Has true bypass (which I‘m starting to question in that case, but it‘s the only wiring I know!
) and a switch to change the effect order. For those who don‘t know the Surfy Bear: it‘s basically a Fender spring unit but with JFETs instead of Tubes - and the 45cm spring unit is screwed to the underside of my pedalboard. No issues at all!

That's fantastic! I wouldn't hate on someone who bought the official one, as I'm sure it's well-built and looks nice (maybe even matches whatever Meris pedal you have), but I like yours much better
