For a while, I had an excessive pedal board for bedroom ambient / shoegaze / post-rock noodling. After a move, I dismantled it, got some other pedals, and have found that if a pedal is not plugged in ready to go, I’m much less likely to play it, thus the excuse to recreate another ridiculous board.
I’d enjoy hearing your ideas about pedal chain order with any of these pedals!
Here's a draft:
(Volume)
Red Panda Context v2
Retroactive Validity Sensor
EQD Levitation
EQD Spires
SSBS Mini
Boss SD-1
Danelectro EQ
OBNE Expression Ramper
OBNE Rever
OBNE Sunlight
EQD Transmisser
Walrus Julia
Subdecay Starlight
Subdecay Quasar
Drolo Twin Peaks
Dr. Scientist Dusk
DBA Echo Dream 2
Boss DM-2w
Boss RE-2
Strymon DIG v1
Neunaber Immerse v2
(EHX 720 Looper)
(Expression)
Some things I tried to keep available…
-Reverb/delay before dirt
-Reverb/delay before modulation
-Dirt after modulation
-Traditional dirt / modulation / delay / reverb
-Occasional stereo use
-Eye candy —> invitation
I’m still getting to know several of these pedals (honeymoon phase), and I've only scratched the surface of how to combine them. I'm still playing with where to put Levitation, Sunlight, Twin Peaks, Dusk, and DM-2w, especially. Thanks!
Pedal chain order fun… more is more!

Re: Pedal chain order fun… more is more!
I am always with 'whichever order works' and find specific models vary wildly from expectations.
Obviously every permutation would be thousands, like exponentially more ways to place them for every pedal, but if i wanted to i have occasionally compared to the next pedal and found out which works best if there is any dispute.. usually they don't move very far from where i thought so it doesn't take a lot of testing.

Re: Pedal chain order fun… more is more!
I spaced out and totally forgot I posted this lol. Thanks for the response! The options are exponential.
I’d love to hear where people like to place the more out-there effects like pad reverbs with hold functions (sunlight) or pad reverbs with intense modulation (transmisser).
I’m a delay junkie too and would be curious to hear how people like to stack different delay types… between reverse (rever), pt2399 (dba echo dream), analog, space echo, and pure digital… Obviously not running all at once.

If my memory were a delay pedal... it might be of the PT2399 variety -- longer than straight analog, but with some warble and gets pretty fuzzy if I push it too far.
