Seems to be another take on the shoegaze in a box thing that's popular right now – although they don't seem to be explicitly marketing it that way.

Sounds cool. Looks cool. The joystick is a brilliant idea. Even manages to make a Strat sound good.

Joysticks are cool and all but when you've found a great sound and then knock it a tiny bit it's a pain to find the sweet spot again.
I still occasionally rock my Dream Mangler and it sounds epic, but the joystick can be a pain. Except when it's set to oscillate and then the joystick controls the pitch

It's Brett Kingman making that strat sound good. He's one of the few YT demoers who can pick up a strat without immediately going into SRV/Hendrix clichés.
That said, it's a pretty cool pedal.

Re: Walrus Audio Melee
I think players made me hate strats for years because of this, then I played them way later myself and realized I was wrong. They are really great guitars, the people who play them made me aggro
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Haven’t felt psyched on a new pedal in a while (still psyched on old Lovetone, Moog, etc), but this thing actually sounds pretty cool.

I wonder if they could do a trackball controller instead of a joystick (like on the Centipede arcade games). Less likely to bump it off a setting. Never had a joystick on a pedal. Are they durable enough for controlling with feet?
