Every now and then I look at the Ibanez “Airplane Flanger”:

I want to love it - the idea is great, the colour is delightfully outrageous, but…..it sounds like shiiiiiiiit.
Oh well.

...has anyone here ever tried the Warm Audio Jet Phaser? It's a clone of the old Roland, and it sure looks the part!

I think the general consensus is that regardless of sound, the pedals are too damn big.
I'd like to try one, but that's a lot of pedal real estate for a pedal with fairly limited applications (apologies to the players that have various swooshy jet sounds on all their songs).

I haven’t tried that specific warm audio pedal, but I did try their copy of the Foxx tone machine the other day.
I own two real Foxxen, and the WA pedal sounded the same to me

Re: Best Flanger for Jet engine effect
I have tried a bunch since my last post (Fender Hamertone, Guptech Modul 8, Walrus Audio Polychrome, Keeley) and I settled for a Catalinbread Point Zero I bought used for now. It's maybe not the best Jet Engine effect on the market, but it gives me a nice retro flange effect I like. Since "less is more" apply to pedals knobs, it gives me that straigh foward sound.
I am going to the Denver on octobre, I am gonna buy a MXR Micro Flanger. They are not easily avaiblable in Canada. A old Boss BF-2 is also on my wish list, since they are easily available use.
I nearly bought the Maxon Jet Riser, but they are too damn expensive. I dont want to put 400can$ on a pedal. I am not a professionnal by any means.

FWIW, I've got the WA Foxy Box, and it's a ringer for the Foxx Tone Machine. And yeah, I was able to do a side by side.
