As someone who want's to fuck around with a 250 even though i know its a D+ this is good news. Cort have nothing if not good distribution (at least based on all the second hand examples in Cash converters...)

I have both, despite how similar they are circuit-wise, they are drastically different dirt boxes. Get a 250. Get all the 250's.

That sounds strange, it sounds to me like Mooer buying out EHX, but I guess I don't know enough about Cort? They always struck me as a fender copy brand? My first P-bass was a Cort and it seemed fine but the pickups were average at best. Will be interesting to see if it changes anything.. maybe it will spark more reissues?
If OSG has tort me anything...

They're more of a large-ish music conglomerate, with their guitars being the most public-facing aspect. They're a reasonably large manufacturer, with a lot of the recent squires being made by them in Indonesia.soggy mittens wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 7:43 pmThat sounds strange, it sounds to me like Mooer buying out EHX, but I guess I don't know enough about Cort? Plz do a Whammy II reissue. Straight up all you need to do is make the current one but with switches instead of (or even in addition to!) the fucking wheel thing

I think Cort makes very good budget to sub $500 guitars and they OEM for many big brands, they also make a few signature models for Matthew Bellamy of Muse so at least they have aren’t some newbie company that doesn’t know what they are doing.
I would be happy enough if they just keep the current same manufacturing quality of Whammys alive, it would be a shame for such an iconic and intuitive effect to die off.

My Cort Hiram Bullock sig is as good as it gets. Cort is capable of really fine work, especially in their Korean workshops. I think this is a good sign for DOD.Iffymiffy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 3:33 amI think Cort makes very good budget to sub $500 guitars and they OEM for many big brands, they also make a few signature models for Matthew Bellamy of Muse so at least they have aren’t some newbie company that doesn’t know what they are doing.

^really nice guitar that i have seen go as low as $300, i really don’t know why Cort gets lumped together with cheap knockoff manufacturers by a lot of people.
