Where did you order them from? Still waiting for mine :(
Mine came from Peach Guitars. When they called to check if I wanted it the next day (well, durrrr), they said they only got 3 of the RE-202 in the first batch and the next lot isn't due for a month or two, maybe more. Apparently I was the second preorder after someone that worked there.

I might return the RE-2...it kind of seems superfluous to have both.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

given how much these cost, it'd be nice if the big box shops would hang onto a demo model so i could have a go without forking out first

When I was a kid, my local music store had a huge Boss board, where they had most of the standard-size Boss line hooked up to a headphone amp. I wish shops would still do that kind of thing.

That’s where I preordered mine on day 1, guess I missed the cut.

I just love looking at these things. They are such sharp looking pedals.
Agreed!
I need another delay like a hole in the head, but the RE-202 looks (and sounds) so cool!
I know everyone was excited about the smaller format RE-2, but I really prefer the look of that Re-202. The case has got a CE-1 vibe to it. It would be cool if Boss re-issued the CE-1 in this style.
I am much more excited about the 202 because its an expansion on the 20,whilst the 2 seemed like it could have been just compactifying

Wonder if it would be worth sitting on the RE-2 and seeing what happens to the prices...

I have to say, I have an old Roland Unit that I use everyday (an RE-101) but I am still finding myself reading every thread and watching all the videos of these new pedals :fp: They really sound great. Being able to control the tape "age" and the modulation is cool. Those are things that a tape unit just does and you can't change. Well, you can, but not with the flick of a switch or push of a button. It's neat to have those options when you want/ need them.

It is interesting, I never even thought about the preamps. They definitely add color to the sound. I generally have the input cranked on mine. It overdrives with a hotter signal from pickups, boosters, etc. On the tape units though, you really have to run a buffer immediately before them or they sound like crap. Some people mod the inputs to add one right in the unit. It's nice with the pedals to, not have to do that and also be able to turn it off.

Nothing like having the real thing. But, if it were me, I’d grab one of these too. Especially if you play out. But, even if you just wanted to conserve the real tape delay a bit it would be good.

Just watched both the videos - nice formats and some great sounds. Would consume more content.

Anyone else still waiting on a day one pre-order Peach guitars or other UK supplier? On the day I was quoted 27th April for more to come in.

I assume you’re waiting on a 202? I’ve already had mine but the pre order was placed at start of business the day after launch.

There’s next to nothing coming into the U.K. at the moment so you’re better just keeping your order in place and being patient.

Roland can’t estimate anything at the moment, it’s the same on the SP404 too

I ordered mine about 5 minutes after they went live and got mine quickly. I spoke to Peach about it and they say they had 7x 202s in the first batch...I was #3 and predicted no more until late May/June

Fair enough, wasn't expecting an immediate turn around, but also haven't had any response from them after emailing this week.
