FUCKING YES! NPD: Space Echo madness
YEAH BOI!!!!!!!!!!
Unboxing and silly demo here
Doom/Heavy Improv Demo Here
Review: they sound great. The menu options will take a bit of getting used to. On the 202 the choice or reverbs is nice (the plate option is great). Almost every knob parameter can be linked to the expression pedal. RE-2 sounds basically the same, just slightly neutered in options. Wow & Flutter is nice, if used sparingly. Controlling the echo speed with the pedal brings some very weird noises.
Happy Day.

Just discovered a nice feature. The delay tail overrun extends to when you switch between presets. Makes things nice and smooth sounding

Very, very cool. Boss continues to kill it, and long may it continue to do so.

I just love looking at these things. They are such sharp looking pedals.

I need another delay like a hole in the head, but the RE-202 looks (and sounds) so cool!

It's funny, a while ago I was thinking about pouncing on an affordable Vox DelayLab but changed my mind, one of the reasons being that it was kinda fugly & needed more of that Space Echo aesthetic.
...and here we are.

I know everyone was excited about the smaller format RE-2, but I really prefer the look of that Re-202. The case has got a CE-1 vibe to it. It would be cool if Boss re-issued the CE-1 in this style.del wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:37 amAgreed!stevejamsecono wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:31 amI just love looking at these things. Re: FUCKING YES! NPD: Space Echo madness
There was some vague suggestions on the "Talk with Boss" stream this week from that that might be why they chose this design (apparently, I haven't had time to watch it)fuzzjunkie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 9:12 amI know everyone was excited about the smaller format RE-2, but I really prefer the look of that Re-202. So, if you have a delay and reverb on one preset, and switch to another preset that is just reverb, the transition is smooth?johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 3:52 amJust discovered a nice feature. That is very good news indeed, and I breathlessly await the arrival of mine.
Just FYI, can you use an expression pedal to control the volume of the echo, while leaving the reverb level alone?

Yes, the delay tails carry on if you switch to a memory with the echo volume down (just reverb)
Yes, the expression pedal can control the echo volume - do you could happily use it as an echo on/off
