Vox built-in effects in pedal form: Acid Fuzz Sonic Boom or Reuss Repeater Fuzz?

Is the Vox fuzz similar to a Fuzz Face? Similar transistors or something else entirely?

If the circuit in question is the same as that V816 Distortion Booster plug-in effect, I became a big fan last year.

Less "brontosaurus" than a Fuzz Face, more gnashing. Working on some DIY builds of them really made me appreciate the delicate balance between components in that circuit layout. Built more or less like a Fuzz Face with a different character, clearer (to me), and fully ripping.

Not sure what the schematic is for the Distortion Booster that you made but the one for the built-in fuzz is here, uses two BC108 A transistors:

Also, Vox made a V830 Distortion Booster pedal in the 90's, not sure if it is similar to the plugin.

I have been playing a miii for several years now. I have a germanium version that sounds awesome but is very temperamental (I sent it back for repair a year or two back and they did that gratis)… it recently had another breakdown and is being repaired locally (which might have been a bad move as it’s taking as long as it would have taken to send it back to the EU again).

I am currently about to get another sonic boom to compare it to if you want a full review still.
