Stomp Box Zone is actually where the people from the previous Boss Area site ended up when that forum went down.BearBoy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:41 amYou could try asking over at: http://bossareaforum.com/
That's where the people from Stomp Box Zone ended up when that forum became unsupportable. I am pretty sure someone there would know (there are Boss collectors who collect every variation of every pedal).

It had been mentioned before after the release of the 201 and after seeing that new BOSS enclosure that a re-release of the Chorus Ensemble could very well happen and now what do we see?
That crafty crew over at Behringer getting all big box chorusy on us....
Ball is in your court BOSS.

i think it's actually the same type as that "behringer" logo butchered to look closer to the boss font. it's all over the place and looks very sloppy.

Just came across this one which looks a bit more faithful, really drives home how ugly that behringer one is xD

The ugliness of the Behringer is kind of charming, IMO, but it's way cooler to support the little guy for sure.
This is an excellent rectangle

Definitely looks a whole lot better, but... side jacks?! At least Behringer got that right.soggy mittens wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 6:11 pmJust came across this one which looks a bit more faithful, really drives home how ugly that behringer one is xD

I've got time for Behringer. It's weird to me that you can't patent/IP a circuit (someone feel free to explain that one to me - there may well be a good reason) but having accepted that, they're putting out affordable versions of mass-market pedals, a buncha which aren't made anymore. I don't think they're cutting into Boss's bottom line, and I feel like they probably reflect what these things cost to produce at scale (Issues with labor practices come in here though).
The only reason why I don't own their Superfuzz clone is lethargy on my part.

I bought one of these just the other week. Yes, it’s a blatant rip-off visually and sonically, but it is really really good.soggy mittens wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 6:11 pmJust came across this one which looks a bit more faithful, really drives home how ugly that behringer one is xD

Reckon I am becoming a Boss ‘fan boy’! I’ve always known they make great pedals, but in recent times i’ve gained an even greater appreciation - due largely to the Waza series.
My most recent purchase was the Waza fuzz (the cheaper one, not the Tone Bender thing). I had no need for more fuzz pedals, but curiosity got the better of me! Absolutely loving it. So easy to dial in great sounds, unlike some fuzzes which can be finicky or temperamental.
Having gone fairly heavily (and expensively!) down the boutique pedal rabbit- hole during the past 5-10 years, there’s something about the simplicity of most Boss pedals that I’m really enjoying, as well as the great sounds. Maybe there’s a bit of nostalgia on my part too, as some of my first pedals in the late 80s were Boss. Sure there are some duds, but there are a hell of a lot of great ones.
So yeah, I’m of the opinion that the FZ-1w is one that they definitely got ‘right’.
Ahhh.

I recently played a show with just a Blues Driver (thanks to some gremlin in my pedalboard literally as we were due to start playing).
It sounded great, did the job and worked perfectly. Boss is definitely best.

Enforced simplicity - love it.
I’m hoping the next Waza is a rendition of the PH-1r phaser, with the addition of a switch to change between the standard 4-stages, and 2 or 6 stages. I love phasers, and this would make me really happy.
