Valco Five-0 pedal

Post by pocaloc » Wed Oct 06, 2021 8:20 am

Anyone watched the demo's on this thing? After watching most of them I couldn't help myself and ordered one. I'll report back when I get a chance to check it out in person.

Watched the video, dug it, but have all the sounds in other pedals. Cool pedal for someone who wants to simplify their rig.

Like the aesthetic of the Valco stuff. Let us know how you like yours.

I hadn’t heard of these before. They look like a cross between BAE and Lovetone. The BAE stuff mimics the vintage Neve console aesthetic and then it’s housed in a big Lovetone style box.

They sound good too. I checked out the fuzz and the fuzz-overdrive combo reviews too. The Five-O, the fuzz, and a Lovetone RingStinger or ? - Flanger would be quite the pedalboard!

There is one to be had within 45min drive for 300€.
They had me with „Dick Dale in a box“ - but also because I‘ve recently seen a video of a small footprint „clone“ of these… 60s Rock in one big ass pedal….hell yeah!
Sadly it‘s no „real“ spring reverb…. But it looks damn tempting! :)
