A/B switch

Post by burpgun » Tue Apr 20, 2021 10:49 am

Hey all, I'm looking for a simple good quality A/B line selector. I'm splitting my pedal board into two separate setups--one for bass, the other for guitar--and want something at the start of the chain to plug the instrument into and then direct it as needed. I had some little ART box that did that, but I kid you not: my toilet training youngest accidentally whizzed on it and it's dead, so I need something new. Had been looking at the Boss Line Selector but it seems like overkill for my needs.

Sounds like you need an A/B loop switcher. The Toadworks Roundabout looks pretty cool.

I think American Loopers and Loop Master do them too.

It has been ages since I've used one of these, but when I did it was morley one and it was inexpensive, built well, and worked. If you're interested in spending a little bit more, I think whirlwind makes one. I have been eying his version of the 250 and phase 90 lately and probably will end up buying them at some point. All my research on those has shown that whirlwind are very good products. Haven't used them yet, but it seems like it's the right people putting in the time to make the stuff good.

.

Passive AB pedal is just a few parts and a project box.
