Has anyone used the new JHS 3 series Overdrive? It's a clone of the somewhat obscure HAO Rumble Mod, in other words a Tube Screamer without the excessive bass and treble rolloff, and a more advanced tone control. And selectable LED or silicon diode symmetrical clipping. On paper, that's close to my ideal overdrive pedal. The demos I've heard sound pretty convincing, but it's just as valuable hearing what people think.
What I want to know is if the frequency response is flat enough for this pedal to work as a standalone into a clean amplifier (more specifically a Twin Reverb), how it stacks with other distortions/overdrive/fuzzes (before and after), how it cleans up before and after a buffer ... or just about anything about it. Any thoughts or opinions very welcome!
