Pedal Power 3 Plus

Is anybody looking at getting a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 3 Plus?

I’m contemplating replacing my Mondo with the 3 Plus, partly because of the larger number of higher current outputs (offering greater flexibility/capacity), and partly because of the smaller size and lighter weight of the new unit.

Potential ‘shortcomings’ of the 3 Plus include the lack of voltage ‘sag’ outputs, and the lack of 18V outputs (would still need to double-up to get 18V). Neither of these would be a deal breaker for me.

Thoughts? Comparisons with Cioks and Strymon models seem to come up a lot in the reading i’ve done.

I have never wanted to use sag. I have a few fuzzes, but whatever. PP3 is cool.

It all depends on you power needs, both V and mA, and how many pedals you need to power.

I’ll need to power up to 18v for Philosopher’s Tone. I may try to use the 1A extension meant for an extension unit for a SurfyBear Metal Reverb if a) I eventually get one and b) VooDoo Labs signs off on this idea.

I got one from Alto Music a month or two ago. It's working pretty well for my needs (although my main pedal board is ridiculous right now, so it's supplemented by a couple cheapy Calines that I got off Amazon awhile ago). My idea was that this would power my digital stuff and then I'd have a couple cheapies that have 18v since that stuff doesn't seem as picky about having an isolated power supply.

So far so good -- it's got all my Source Audio stuff plugged in and running well (C4, Ventris, Nemesis, Mercury, Vertigo, LA Lady), plus some other stuff tied into it. I do kinda wish it had sag b/c why not, but I mainly needed a ton of high mA 9V plugs.

Finally got one of these. I didn’t expect it to be so small and light, at least compared to the Mondo i was using.

I swap pedals in and out quite a bit, so it’s nice not to worry about which plugs are high current. My only wish is that one or two of the outlets were switchable to 18V, to make powering these pedals a bit more straight forward.
