Digitech Mosaic

Post by stevemac100 » Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:59 am

Hi, reaching out to anyone who has any experience of Digitech Mosaic. Looking for something to give me the Byrds sound without having to spend £££ on a Rik.

I'm resurrecting this poor, lonely and dead thread as I'm interested in the Mosaic. The demos all really rate it but I want to check with the board. I'm looking to use it with offsets, a Gretsch and Ricky 330.

As a footnote, I recently bought a Janglebox Nano for the Ric and was astonished at how good the Jazzmaster AV65s sound through it. I'm also wondering how it might pair with a Mosaic.

This is a pedal I have been curious about for a while too. I’ve checked out some demos of course, but I’m wondering how/if it works in live situations.

Is there no one here who can help out two Verlaine fans?

I literally just replied to a Craigslist ad for one so hopefully I can give an opinion soon!

The demos for these looked great when it came out but I was somehow lured in by the TC Electronics Sub N Up instead. That doesn’t do nearly as convincing a 12-string sound as the Mosaic, but somehow I figured it was more versatile. Anyway, I looked up the Mosaic on reverb when I saw this thread revival and all I can say is WOW! Used prices for these are much higher than I thought they’d be. Good luck with the search!

I had one. Replaced my 360/12 until I realised the 12-string sound was redundant anyhow.
It’s okay. You won’t be fooling yourself but it’ll definitely do in a live situation. A good bit of kit I’d say.

Found a clip where a Ricky 330 through a Janglebox and Mosaic sounds excellent. I've got a 330 and restringing it is a pain so I don't fancy trying the same with the notoriously explosive 12 string R tailpiece. Sounds great when he's playing Marr and the Byrds.Box and Mosaic
