TC TonePrint, interchangeable?
Scored a Triple Delay today.
Maybe a no0b question but, before I download the Tone Print app...
can I plop any tone print from the pedals that feature this?
Say, have a tone print from the Alter Ego in 1 slot,
something from the Sub n up in the 2nd slot,
Hall of Fame in the 3rd... bla bla bla
Da / Nyet?

I don’t believe that is possible. You can put any of their delays into the tone print slots, but none of the other effects. They did just come out with the Plethora which can do what your asking.

I was watching videos on the Plethora, seems pretty nice.

I believe the tone prints all only work in the same categories (delay, chorus, reverb, etc), so that you can use a Hall of Fame toneprint in a T2 or an Alter Ego one in a whatever the normal delay is called, but not transferrable between effect families.
They were planning an all tone print multi effect at some point (oh, yes, the plethora) that does allow this however.
I still love the image of "faxing" a preset from your phone to your pedal via a guitar pickup. Dial up rock n roll.

Ah cool, I'll take a look at some Alter ego tone prints when I get home!cestlamort wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 10:02 amI believe the tone prints all only work in the same categories (delay, chorus, reverb, etc), so that you can use a Hall of Fame toneprint in a T2 or an Alter Ego one in a whatever the normal delay is called, but not transferrable between effect families.
Too bad you can't zap in settings from the reverbs or Sub n Up.
I was thinking that a Tone print is a tone print is a tone print.

So, technically you can only use the toneprint that applies to that class of effect - as you guys stated. However, you may notice both in the toneprint library and in the actual customization software that you can put some modulation effects within delays and reverbs.
On my board right now I'm using a HOF mini as really more of a vibrato than a reverb in this way. But you can't just take any toneprint into any pedal (unless it's the plethora which I am seriously considering once they go down in price and some used ones get out there).

certainly on the sub n up there is an octaver only although there are some options for choruses, drive, flange and that kind of modulation. I don't know about vice versa with another pedal since the settings are still centred on the octaves. The modulation 'extra pedals' are a separate section from the octave controls and only applicable to the octaves.

…so it’s NOT possible to invent your own, say, reverse reverb, and then download it into the spare slot on, say, TC’s Viscous Vibe pedal?
It HAS to be a Vibrato or Tremelo effect ONLY?

I’m afraid that, as far as apple’s AppStore is concerned, TC only do two apps?! I can’t see any customisation software, and there doesn’t seem to be any editing features in the TonePrint library either.ElephantDNA wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 1:14 pm… both in the toneprint library and in the actual customization software that you can put some modulation effects within delays and reverbs.
What am I missing here, please?

Re: TC TonePrint, interchangeable?
I have chorus on my sub n up. It comes with some modulation on the tone prints. Its not necessarily the whole chorus pedal but the knob is reassigned and effects dry only if you turn the others down.
