Totally depends on what kinda fuzz you want.
I exclusively used an Ampeg Scrambler as my one and only fuzz for many years - but I like the sound of breaking glass and the world imploding. Now I just have a Boss Hyper Fuzz for the Mudhoney/Fu Manchu/Garage rock vibes.
There's too many flavours of fuzz to choose from

This encapsulates everything I love about certain kinds of fuzz. This is the sound I want when I think of fuzz. This. Is. Fuzz.

It was the song As Heaven is Wide by Garbage where I first heard that sound, that square wave velcro that I chased for so long. That and the gated dying-battery bias and octave is the holy trinity of fuzz for me . xD

Let's ask Science.
n = the number of fuzz pedals you already have.
x and y = the two fuzz you can't decide to buy
z = the optimum number of fuzz you really need.
z = n + x + y + 1.

Z is unbounded and imaginary number, and the fuzz dimension is fractal in nature... (or just use a Rat/muff)

Adventure Audio Dream Reaper - hoofish, but you could use the feedback settings to play the thing as an instrument unto itself. Big plus: expression pedal controlled Low Pass Filter!

My two cents, as these are my faves on my board(s), in descending order of my use:
Death By Audio Fuzz War has been a favourite of mine for years; I always come back to it
Electro-Harmonix Green Russian Big Muff Pi (pleasantly surprised, but too close to your current one? Or the same?)
Smallsound/Bigsound Buzzz
Dwarfcraft Shiva if you can find them (just realised they closed down!!!), adds some variety--you can choke it off like a dying battery as needed . . .
Best thing is to go to a shop and A/B them if you can. Of course, not always possible! (Which I think you stated)

Of the two suggested, the Fuzz Bender would be my pick. Very versatile, lots of fun to be had.
If we're going into the other, I'd suggest something to compliment the Muff and Fuzz Factory. Tonebender into Big muff is always a really fun sound. My faves of that type are the EQD Tone Reaper or the Magnetic Effects Sola Bender, the Tone Reaper has been discontinued now but can be had pretty cheaply second hand, EQD also do the Park Fuzz which is a TB variant of some kind.
For something a little different the Catalinbread Katzenkonig, which is like a hybrid MKII Tonebender and a Rat in one pedal. Loads of different gain sounds on tap, can also use it to control input impedance into the fuzzfactory which could lead to some fun sounds.

I would go with a Super Oscillo Fuzz from Last Gasp Art Labortories.
All velcro and stutter fuzz - COVERED.

Haha, I'm sure you will hate me for this, but I think that cheap ass Cuvave Fuzz works wonders...
Best 17 Buck I ever spent.. (although I guess I have an older "gated" example)
But it rips velcro, one trick pony, but great trick anyway.... (It's suposed to be some sort of Wooly Mammoth? Clone...but I couldn't tell )
I also like "Der Boss" by Das Musikding. This is suposed to be a Jordan Fuzz clone, but it sounds quiet different (to my ears), but in a good way.
It's a kit that not very expensive. I bought mine build/used, just because I could not ressist the cool graphic the guy put on it...

Since this thread was first posted I bought a White Atom. Pretty great.
Has not unseated the Rat from my board though.

Re: New fuzz pedall, which one would you buy?
Since this thread I've been eyeing:
DOD Carcosa
MXR Badass Variac Fuzz
EQD Terminal Fuzz
EQD Dirt Transmitter
KMA Fuzzly Bear
Caroline Hawaiian Pizza
All of the Pine Box Customs "Wild" series
Mask Audio Electronics Black Math
sigh... that intersection of garage, shoegaze, and doom is home to me.
