Any pedal builders that can make a DBA Fuzz War clone in small enclosure?
I'm putting together a small pedal board, and the standard Fuzz War is too big for it, so I was hoping that there might be a pedal builder out there who can make a Fuzz War clone in a standard size enclosure with side jacks. Any ideas?

hmm... maybe? I haven't heard of it, but is there someone who makes/sells them? I don't want to build one myself. I suck at soldering.

A kit I've built before. Don't know how verified it is but sounded like a fuzz war to me.

Pedal PCB Bellum
This one does top jacks in a smaller enclosure. I built one during my pandemic build binge of around 200 pedals...I don't recall how it sounded right now, but I'll see if I can figure out which drawer I stashed it in...

Thanks for the responses everyone. Googling 'fuzz skirmish' helped me find a builder on Reverb who can make one.

Which is funny because I just made the name up as a really bad joke. I had no idea it was an actual pedal.

Haha! Now that's funny. I thought you were serious. I just figured it was a clone that was given a similar name so you'd know what it was. The pedal I ended up getting was actually called a 'Shrieking Skirmish", but you were close.sal paradise wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 8:00 amWhich is funny because I just made the name up as a really bad joke. Re: Any pedal builders that can make a DBA Fuzz War clone in small enclosure?
YES.
Technology, the internet, and pedal-building culture has us in a world where the materials and schematics needed to build effects pedals are just a few clicks away. The pedal-building ethos of clones is all over the place, as are the locations of hobbyist, semi, and pro builders.
Just about any popular pedal from the past sixty years you can think of (especially in the fuzz/dist/od flavors) probably has schematics and maybe even a kit, plus a number of suggested mods you or your preferred builder can make.
With that you have all of the builder personalities influencing the names. Cutesy, puns, lewd, tattoo-rawk-bro, retro 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, nerd, purist, and whatever else.
It is really great and sort of silly (to me at least) at the same time.
