NRD: Alesis Nanoverb (another one)

Post by MrShake » Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:17 pm

Okay, okay. So the Dumpster gave me a NanoVerb. I loved it immediately. And I had to decide whether I wanted to integrate it into my guitar rig, or set it up as the outboard effect for my "let's make acid house" mixer.

So I bought another one. Real good deal - box, power supply, and manuals, too.

This one had, strangely, more wear and tear than the Dumpster unit, so this one gets floor duty, that's one's on Acid House detail.

So to piggyback on the Midiverb thread downforum, let's talk small-scale Alesis rack reverbs.

Nice that this one has a power supply if you need to swap them out.

I mostly went with a full rack back in the day, but I did have 2 half rack Boss units side by side in a full rack mount. A compressor and preamp with EQ. I used them as a channel strip for my 4-track cassette recording system.

I had friends with Nanoverbs though. At least one had it mounted with Velcro on his amp head. Easy to make adjustments.

If you had a Pedaltrain you could mount it under the board and just have the switch on top, then pedal gazers would wonder what secret sauce you were serving whenever you stepped on it.
