Can I post this here? I bought a cheap digital delay. Then I wanted a tap tempo. Ended up getting a good price on a DD3-T. Whilst I was waiting for the external tap to arrive, I accidentally bought another pedal…

New unnecessary Delay Day ;D

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I admit to not knowing what “steel drum”
Glad I’m not the only one!

I voted analogue - I have a DOD Rubberneck next to a TC Flashback on the board. I use both but have more fun with the Rubberneck.
You can approximate a steel drum on my EHX Hazarai with the time at short w/ its built in reverb, which is why i will go digital, but i use an analogue that to my ears sounds more tapey than bucket brigade.

Yeh i know they mean Echorec, so like a hi-fi tape sound that's less tape-y, right?

Since i recently moved my beloved Waza delay onto my “cork-sniffing Boss board” ( https://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/v ... 1&t=123800), I started the search for an analog delay that could fill the vacancy on my cork-sniffing non-Boss board.

I ended up with the Supro ( https://www.suprousa.com/pedals/delay/) and it has impressed me a lot.
Overall it sounds very similar to the DM-2w, which is not surprising. At some stage i will put them ‘head to head’ to closely check out their similarities and differences.

The tone knob on the Supro is great, and pretty much covers the same ground offered by the switch on the Boss, with the bonus of stopping anywhere in between.

I’d recommend the Supro to anyone seeking a nice, simple delay to produce those classic sweet analog repeats.
