I came here looking to ask the same thing, is this just the same rams head reissue but with a different paint job? Seems an odd release considering the recent wren and cuff garbage face and garbage face jr.

J's tone was neither clear nor thick. It was downright piercing, buzzy, and at times really hard to listen to.

His sound going from shrill to "thick" probably corresponds to when he switched from recording with Jazzmasters to P90s and Telecasters.

Bought one. Never tried a Ram Head so would not be able to compare.

Edit : I asked for a refund since everybody say it's the same then the normal one. The normal reissue is 100$ less in Canada. Dont want to pay 100$ for graphics only.

I’m a huge dinosaur jr fan but I actually prefer the artwork of the standard rams head. And certainly wouldn’t pay the extra just for a different colour scheme.

Haha you do make a compelling argument and it is cool, but I’d be more than happy with the regular reissue. I have the op amp reissue and plan on grabbing the triangle and rams head at some point.
