Ok, picked up 4 rola-celestion speakers for nothing. All in excellent shape, no tears. They came out of a Marshall 4 x 12 angled stack.
The details on the speakers are:
Celestion
G12-30
Impedance 15 Ohms
ROLA CELESTION LTD
Ditton Works
Foxhall Road
Ipswich Suffolk
England
HN22
T3319
Insp 11
This following photo is not my speakers, but is exactly the same as those I have:
Any idea what year ... original owners said 1970 ... but I always thought greenback celestions were then ... I am thinking more 1980s.
Can anyone decode the info above ?
30 watts ?
can anyone help in identifying some rola-celestion speakers

Re: can anyone help in identifying some rola-celestion speakers
I'd look for the date code on the speaker...
Here's a little info I found
http://www.ampaholics.co.uk/VINTAGE%20SPEAKERS.htm
The date code should have some letter and numbers. No idea how to decode it though. I would guess these aren't higher end speakers based on the lack of the plastic dustcover. Most of the better Celestions were the green backs, black backs, and I think grey backs.

The date code, HN22 should mean 22nd August 1980 (I think).
It'll be a 15ohm, 30 watt rated speaker (remember most "Vintage 30" speakers are actually rated much higher than 30 watts for what must be a simple yet elusive reason) due to the small-ish speaker.
You might want to send the question of how the T3319 speaker fits in with more well-known versions to Celestion's Dr. Decibel - I have done so and they always write back.
