Re: Tiny Amp Town
This is my 1960 National 'Studio 10'. I've had this amp since around 1967.
It's a classic Valco 5-watt, with a single '6V6'.
I do 90% of my playing through this amp.
Despite the name, it has an 8" speaker.
This photo shows the Wolverhampton 'Broadcast Fidelity' speaker that I substituted for the original Jenzen.
The Wolverhampton finally gave out and has been replaced with a period Jenzen 8".
It has a wonderful clean sound that reaches full volume at about halfway and then gets progressively more warm and fuzzy as you go up towards crunch.

Of course it's alive - you cannot make music with dead Muppaphones.

Re: Tiny Amp Town
it's a 70's Vox Escort, a small solid state model, designed as portable amp, probably the 1st mass produced portable amp ever (mine is the battery-mains version with strap buttons, later models would have an amp handle instead), ...more info here:s_mcsleazy wrote:tell me more about the vox?PJazzmaster wrote:tiny amp town, all from the 70's:
