Thanks, Nolan! The DMM sounds awesome with the Vibro Champ, BTW.RumorsOFsurF wrote: Lookin' good, Maggie....The amps, too.

Memory Man is a good pedal. It's good for a "hi fi analog delay." It's the best for that, I think, outside of a good tape echoMaggieo wrote:Thanks, Nolan! The DMM sounds awesome with the Vibro Champ, BTW.RumorsOFsurF wrote: Lookin' good, Maggie....The amps, too.

For a "Lo-fi analog delay" (in other words, lots of coloration on the repeats) my favorite is an old "sleeper" pedal called the DOD 680 Analog Delay from about 1978-1982. Back when DOD was made in SLC, Utah.
The 680 sounds like an old solid-state echoplex I used to have that was half-broken and had a 10-year-old tape in it.

A Noisy Cricket is a little solid state amp powered off a 9V battery, built by Beavis Audio and based on the Ruby amp schematic.noirengineer wrote: woah.. what's a noisy ricket?
I don't think he's making them any more but it's all open sourced so you can build your own, it's a simple little thing and no more work than building a pedal I would guess.
Benecol beat me to it, but I was going to say there's also a Tube Cricket which you can buy fully built or in kit form I believe.

Whoa. Tube Cricket.
That might be a good second project to warm me up for the MM bass amp.

The Lovepedal is very cool - based on the linked clip, a bit less gainy than the Noisy Cricket, but the same basic concept. Starts to sound kind of like an AC15 with the knob pointed straight up.
