I can hear the Guy Fugazi tones coming off that one already.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Hell yeah! That's awesome. I've been curious about those since I saw Tad Kubler from The Hold Steady playing one back in 2005/2006. I think his was a 100 watt one though.

I'm listening to Steady Diet right now thinking about this amp. SO GOOD!

Actually I walked into one of my local record shops on Saturday and someone had traded their entire Fugazi, Minor Threat, Rights of Spring and Black Flag collection and I managed to get the last album and 2 7"s that I didn't have by Fugazi. I then had a few beers with a friend though and left them in the pub! Nooooo!
Went back the next day and they'd kept the aside but the guys at the pub were like "Oh man we were hoiping you wouldn't come back because we were so stoked to find a bag of Fugazi records".

one of these is one of my dream amps just because of fugazi. actually a few years ago me and my old roommate made 3 pedals we called "the box of guy" which was a mxr micro amp and a distortion + in one box because that's what guy used through his park. we were obsessed with getting that fugazi guitar tone but a good 80% is a rickenbacker into a park. also worth mentioning there's clips from instrument where he's running into his park and an ac30 as well.
good score. i've played one and it fucking ripped harder than i ever expected.

So wow this dude is a loud amp! I forgot how loud they are! Getting an attenuator this week has that “sound” though. Way chunkier than my Marshall Astoria or ac30.

Congrats! a JMP 1987 without the Marshall logo
One of the best amps I've ever played was a Park 75 (basically the same thing but KT88s). I haven't seen one in person for at least 25 years. They seemed to be everywhere in the 90s. I really wish I knew more about them at the time... so cheap back then!

Yeah I used to have a 1976 non master JMP and wanted one again. This is basically the same but I think it being a Park is way cooler. The people that own the rights to the name now have reissued the Park 75 but it’s super expensive. $3k for the head. $1600 for a cab.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 12:31 amCongrats! a JMP 1987 without the Marshall logo

Yeah there might be something in the ckt that’s a little different but very minor if anything (bright cap value or treble cap in tone stack). But I agree, the Park logo and knob layout make it very cool.
