NAD...technically. JOYO JA-02 II
I was arranging a local trade, and the other guy wanted to plug the guitar in to check the electronics. It occurred to me that I make a lot of deals where we just go on faith that the electronics work, and that I should just get a little battery powered amp.
So I did. Emphasis on little.
Cheap as dirt, and doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. Guitar input, aux input, headphone jack, Bluetooth input, tone control, volume control, gain control, and even a dirt channel.
It gets plenty loud, and charges via USB-C. Small enough to tuck into a gig bag, and virtually weightless. Surprisingly honest clean channel. Plugged in a strat and all the pickup positions were actually discernable, which is impressive for such microscopic speakers. Sounds less toy-like than it looks, though I wouldn't say I was reveling in the majesty of its tone or anything.
I think I'll use it on my workbench when wiring up guitars, too. Worth the price of entry, which was around $50 CAD/$35 USD.
Just realized this technically counts as a New Amp Day. Hardly the exciting type, though.

I did the same thing recently, except I bought a mid 00's Roland Micro Cube, from when they could still be battery powered. It's definitely a handy thing to have, even though I sell / trade guitars maybe once every couple of years.

I think there needs to be a suburb of Tiny Amp Town.
Micro Amp Village?
Micro Amp Village?

What a weird looking little thing!
I have an old 70s Pignose as a bench amp but it seems kinda wasted in that role. Not that it's a great sounding amp anyway, definitely a very particular 'thing' of its own going on.
That Joyo comes in pink 🩷 for £30 I'm tempted

I just got an orange micro dark, impressive little thing for it's diminutive stature it sure pushes speakers like a champ.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Yeah I have been running this into a 2x12 and it really captures some good sounds at around 3 on the volume and my rat with a low setting. It's surprised me pleasantly thus far. $115 well spent.
