Surprise N(F)AD: Fender Ramparte

Post by fever606 » Fri Mar 10, 2023 9:28 am

New (Free) Amp Day! Guy I work with dropped this off in my office yesterday...

I know as much as 5 minutes of Googling got me yesterday (9 watts from a 6L6, 2 channels, etc), and that the speaker has been changed - I think he said to the stock speaker from an HRD?

Expanding the Ridiculous Fabric Zone in my basement music room...

Had about 5 minutes with the new SG and... it's actually pretty cool. Tweed-ish voicing on the "cool" channel is okay enough for free :D I wanna set it up with an A/B pedal for some channel switching nonsense...

I’ve seen those, but never played one. I know that some of those Fenders from that era were quite good. I had an Excelsior, and it was excellent.

Those look awesome. That whole line of 'pawn shop' models was super cool. The Excelsior model looked rad.

Very cool little amp, the badge reminds me of the flag of Albania.

these are little rippers especially with a pre-amp type pedal out front for treble/bass control.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Yep, that's exactly what I've been doing with the JMP 11... whole lotta tone in a small package between those two...
