Mods for 65 DRRI

Post by Larsongs » Fri Jun 11, 2021 10:24 pm

They’re pretty decent Amps but there are probably better Speaker & Tube choices.. I imagine other tweaks as well.

What are the best Mods to get the best Sound out of these Amps..

Sound Samples would be appreciated...

Thanks

I don’t have one myself, but if I did I think I would rewire it to have reverb and tremolo on both channels. I’d leave one of the channels original and then modify the tone stack of the other one to have less of a mid scoop and maybe change a few resistors for earlier breakup on that channel.

That sounds like the Fender Custom 68 DRRI which is a really cool Amp.. If you’re looking to buy an Amp...
