I once bought a bass amp, met the dude at a parking lot and within a minute or so after taking off, my car completely stunk like spices.

my old cat loved mine, used it as a scratching post
offset guitars resident bass player.
'Are you trying to seduce me Mrs Robinson? Or do you just want me to solder a couple of resistors into your Muff?'

I was so unhappy when Fender released those grey-carpeted guitar amps in the 90s...

Not my favourite thing either... but those metal, diamond grills found on so many bass amps are equally wtf-able :fp:

My buddy has a 6x10 (pre-fender) SWR cab and it sounds fucking incredible. Unfortunately it has carpet and a diamond grill, so it's hideous.

Hahahaha – I KNEW there was a bass amp that had both of those features! Couldn't put my finger on the name. A friend of mine had one too, the 2x10 version:

Haha, same here I got a 90's 15" Crate bass cab from a friend who found it in a dumpster (Yup, has the same hidious looks as the SWR cab posted here above). It must of sat in moist place for a while as the carpet reeked really bad.
I was adviced to use some carpet cleaner on the thing, which I did. Smells much better nowadays, but you really want to keep your pets away from these things as they are like magnets to animal hair.... ;D
And cats love 'em to sharpen their nails on :wtf:

Those carpet covered things are not well liked for the obvious reasons...
Sometimes I see these things in thrift shops for little money, so you step a bit closer to check 'm out and you immediatly step back after you smell 'em... So they stay in the store forever....
