117V Export Only Fender amp

I've had this Silverface BMR for years and have wondered what market it was made for. It says "For Export Only" on the back but does not have selectable voltage where the accessory outlet is. It is listed as 117v 50/60hz, 1.5 amps. Anyone know what makes this an Export Only amp?
