Tolex help needed

Post by Terry Wright » Sat Mar 17, 2007 8:27 am

I am retolexing my Hiwatt cab and am unsure about how to make the corner cuts, (sort of a mitre cut in the tolex) where the tolex rolls around the front and back corners. There are no metal corners to hide this seam so it has to be pretty neatly done. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do it? The tolex is all on the cab already and I just cut these corners long to trim with a razor blade but I have been afraid to tackle it yet for fear of sscrewing it up. I've been looking at it for two weeks and have my razor blade in hand now but would appreciate any pointers I can get before I do it.  I'm anxious to put my new Weber "Thames" speakers in it and Try it out.

I can't hear the forest for all the falling trees.
