For the target audience, it's still cheaper than buying new speakers after every gig and rehearsal, I suppose.

I wonder if they'll launch an amp to go with the cab; their most powerful amp at the moment is 200W.

Even if you went top-tier Celestion/Eminence you'd struggle to spend $800 on a set of four 250 watters. Local cabinet maker would probably make you a fuck-off-tuff Vietnam spec 4x12 cab for a solid $600 cash in hand and you've spent half the money and had it quicker.
