I’ve got an old Sound City 4x10 - closed back, ported - that’s loaded with 60s Utah speakers. Mostly use it with my 65 Bassman. It sounds… fine, but I know it could sound better.
So, what are your favorite 10” speakers paired with a Bassman? Bonus points if they sound good with both guitar and bass, as this guy definitely pulls double duty.

Re: Your favorite 10” speaker for Bassman?
Mine were determined by financial limitations about 15 years ago. A quad of MOD 10-50s in a Bassman Ten combo (the kind with the cleaner preamp). The tech had a set and gave me a good deal, it was about all I could afford.
They broke in nicely, a good match for the ported, closed-back "cabinet" section. I'm not too picky about speakers, but I feel like they have good mids paired with a clean Fender, and just sorta work well at everything I throw at that clean amp. People say they're somewhere between "British"- and "American"-voiced speakers. Who knows, but maybe that's something.
Also rated for double duty, but I don't play bass through it live. Higher-register Bass VI-ish stuff sounds fantastic loud, though.
The amp is stock, and for one of Fender's lesser-loved offerings, it's gotten some compliments when other, more gear-experienced players played on it. Everybody who plays it seems surprised, and while I love the amp, it's a pretty typical clean Fender.
So that good sound is something those MODs deserve some credit for, I'm sure.
I never mention the economy speakers when people ask. If they start asking, "What kind of speakers are in there?" (because it's always, always, always gear nerds), I wait for them to guess. "Jensen? Weber? Eminence?" I'll just say, "Yeah, I think that's it..."
And I realize your Bassman, with its killer crunch, is a different animal than mine, I figure they're at least siblings. Yours is the delinquent, mine's the simpleton.

the celestion greenbacks are pretty good imo. I assume you want 16 ohm to wire in parallel for 4 ohm?

I had 4x Eminence Legend B810 in a cab once that I used for both. Sounded great. You can only get 8ohm though as they only come in 32ohm.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?
