No help to you, but my old AC-30 had some hum issues. The fix was to match the volume control for whichever channel you weren’t plugged into. Going into the Top Boost with the volume at 6? Turn the Normal channel up to 6 as well to cancel the hum. Dead quiet.

I explained this quirk to a couple of people that borrowed that amp for recording, then they would forget and complain that it was too noisy to use.

I don’t think I have that problem on my ‘94, but I have always jumped the channels on it. I still match the volumes out of habit though. I think it doesn’t matter and that you get more tone variations when they don’t match, but whatever?

Damn, that is an odd quirk. Just goes to show how weird some of the amps designed for guitars can be.

I can live with the noise. It's just nagging that is CAN be silent, and there's likely something that will solve the riddle really easily - just I can't find it :D It sounds wonderful overall though, I am very happy with it. ALL THE CHIME
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?
