Got a hum issue with my amp...

When I bought my ProJr on Reverb last fall the owner told me the filter caps and tubes were just replaced....still has the stock IC caps and one bad preamp tube.

So I am about to buy some F&T's one new preamp tube and , maybe, maybe build a new cabinet for a 12" speaker.

Time will tell...

Before you replace caps, remove the top center screw from the rear baffle and see if that reduces the hum (really!)

Especially on earlier Pro Junior revisions, this was a known issue.

Pro Junior is a lovable bodge of an amp with a very weird (some would say "amateurish") design that just happens to sound fantastic (if a bit noisy due to... unorthodox gain staging)

I absolutely love mine. A larger cabinet is a plus, for sure... I stayed with a 10" speaker, but in a larger cabinet it speaks a bit better.
