Bonus hint: it has an extra knob that the Export Bassman doesn‘t have.

That is correct!
(Bassman 100 would also be 220V and would have the Master Volume extra… but as I have basically ruled out Silverfaces before it was clear(er) I guess!?)
But it’s not a Blonde Blackface - but a Blonde Brownface and the not to worry too much about part is, that it‘s a handbuilt „63“ 6G6B clone (from a kit or not) that didn‘t cost an arm and a leg! Which also means that I probably won‘t have to worry about maintainance too much.
I was close to get another one just like this just a few weeks before that - with even nicer parts (Mercury transformers) - but it also was 50% more expensive. I figured Hammond transformers should be „good enough“ - and if I somehow should not like it… there are plenty of Surf musicians out there who might give it a shot.
So it really looks the part (or at least close enough to me)

Even though it looks cool the way it is - I‘ll probably exchange the grillcloth for an oxblood one to match my three blonde cabs.
A dual Blonde amp setup might be a thing now. Supersonic on the 4x12 and the Bassman on the 1x15 and 2x12 or both on one of the two smaller cabs.
Thanks everyone for participating!

Re: New Dream Amp incoming
I really like Hammond transformers and use them pretty much every time I need to swap in one to correct the voltage for an old 110v amp. I've used them on my 65 VibroChamp and the 66 Vibrolux Reverb I had last year with no detriment to the sound. Mercury are guilty of being a lot of hype and aren't worth the extra premium IMHO
Looks like a cool amp, congratulations

Yeah Hammond stuff is really great, especially for Fenders. I only prefer Mercury for Marshall & Vox OTs.

Congratulation! Blonde Bassmen are beasts. I have a '62 6G6-B and love it. The voices of both channels complement eachother perfectly (think Marshall with more body on bass channel, and fat slightly dirty/aggresive voice on normal channel). Just perfect.
My blonde Bassman and blonde/brownface Bandmaster are the amps to pry from my dead hands.
Enjoy your Bassman!

Re: New Dream Amp arrived!
So, the amp arrived on Friday, I arrived back home about 12h later - but I forgot that the post office isn‘t open on Saturdays - so it took some extra waiting time… but today I picked it up and had a lot of fun with it.
Sadly I forgot my ABY switch at home so it was first: my regular effect setup through the Bassman with 1x15+2x12,
then through both (Bassman with1x15 and Supersonic through the 2x12)
and finally Dry signal into the Bassman and coming from it - the Wet signal into the Supersonic (also in a pseudo Stereo positioning - that was really amazing!

Rrroooooaaaarrrr! That „Normal“ channel is a Beast!
And to my surprise it is so much more controlable (volume wise) than the Supersonic which is just loud (even with an AY7 tube and the effect loop used as a kind of attenuator/volume box)
Theoretical full setup:

I will change the grill cloth to Oxblood in the very near future but other than that - I‘m very happy with it!
Bonus question: are the vintage models‘ faceplates rather in that dark matte brown (close to the oxblood cloth) like the Supersonic or lighter/slightly red-brown as this aftermarket faceplate?

Re: New Dream Amp Day
The vintage faceplates are dark brown, almost black.
The bottom amp is a 63 Vibroverb Reissue for comparison which has much brighter faceplate than the bassman and bandmaster.

Thank you! Just as I thought… but never mind. It‘s no original - and so doesn‘t need to fake its appearance into the smallest detail… it‘s close enough already!

Re: New Dream Amp incoming
That's exactly the way I do it! One wet and one dry. Surfysonic's old '62 Bassman, 6G6A, is always one of them!
Congrats! And now let's hear your surf band?!!
