Got some vinyl cleaner, looks pretty good I think. All done recapping, the leads were all bent up, most of the caps btw.. But the important thing is that they work.
Those big can caps are a fucking pain to remove. Even with the big tip iron i have. That being said i think i just started way before it was hot enough. After about 20 minutes it was just melting the blobs on contact... The first few tabs were rough. It's four tabs per can cap.
Haven't cleaned the back panel yet..
Hum improved. Bass sounds a bit nicer i think. Filter caps i upped from 40 uf to 50 uf, 80 uf to 100 uf. That big one outside the board i kept at 80 uf.

let it burn in and it'll sound better. I love the red cloth wiring.

I can't get over how good my firebird sounds through this amp. Sounds like a completely different guitar than when played through the Dumble clone. Sounds way too bright through the Dumble.
Through the Traynor, the sound comes through with thunderous bass added on.
