What have I been listening to....I have been digging the new Whitest Boy Alive CD a lot, Otis Rush's Cobra Recordings, Walkmen's Hundred Miles off & Pussy Cats, Niobe's White Hats(and I just got over my Nedelle obsession), Hot Chip, Lou Reed's Transformer, Dosh's Pure Trash(again) after being dissapointed with his newest, a lot of the Smiths, and some Daniel Johnston.

Well that's this week at least - as you can tell I lack focus.

Copenhagen [Live]- Galaxie 500

Live and more ballsy than their studio records, this live set, also produced by Kramer, brings the rock out of the shoegazing reverb haze and shows off just how masterful the G-kids were on their instruments.  Play it with Luna's live album and feel less bad about the Velvets not touring America in '93.

These Arms Are Snakes - "Easter" - just got it this morning, and I'm really liking it. Lots of tasteful pitchshifting, which is cool.

and also - Thin Lizzy - "Live and Dangerous" :D

Today was Joy Division's Closer and Throbbing Gristle's First Annual Report (my copy is called Final Muzak or something like that). I've been listening to the Warlock's Poenix LP a lot too. That is one of my favorite records of all time, hands down.
