Re: How Many Dirt (OD, Fuzz, Dist.) Pedals Live On Your Boar
These days, I like to keep my dirt section to a minimum. Right now I'm using a Fulltone OCD set to relatively low gain, and boosting a Black Arts Toneworks Pharoah Fuzz with it. This is all into an AC-30 set for light breakup.

i cut it down to two: mxr classic od to a little big muff. i used to have a turbo rat and foxx tone machine on the board before the muff. i did a lot of removal on my board recently, just for my own sanity.

Currently 3 (though technically 4). Boss SD-2 - "crunch" side as an always on semi-clean tone and the "lead" side as a heavier break up (gain on 0 and it's a pretty amp-ish), Dunlop hendrix octave fuzz (the older mxr sized one) and a V3 Big Muff.
Though i wouldn't mind something like a Foxx Tone Machine clone for something a little more fuzzy than Muff but with the octave on a footswitch (so yeah i'm looking at the Joyo ultimate octave), which can replace the Octave fuzz which doesn't get used for much more than creating dissonance.

That's my entire rig at the moment. Jazzmaster -> Double Muff -> Muff Clone -> Champnoisepunk wrote:Just kind of curious. I only have two usually- a fuzz (big muff) and an OD/Boost/Distortion (double muff- so kind of like two I guess).

Right now I don't have any fuzz or OD in my regular setup but I'm still looking for a nasty, companion-style fuzz.

Sleaze, how are you liking the Saltbooster? Kinda want one, trying to decide if it's worth the price over getting a new LBP-1 or building an SHO clone.

ive got a lpb-1 clone and it aint even in the same leauge as the mbm saltbooster. if you just want a boost with a bit of mids then get a lpb-1. you want some powerfull mid/treble boost then a saltbooster is un-beatable. lemmie give you a example as to how much boost it has.valley_parade wrote:Sleaze, how are you liking the Saltbooster? i run mine at about 4 (or 9 o-clock if your old school) and it makes such a diffrence. its one of the few pedals i own i dont want to take off my board.

Nice, that's my setup a large majority of the time too- they all just go so well together. What kind of muff clone is it?valley_parade wrote:That's my entire rig at the moment. Something I snagged off here a little while, apparently a Triangle clone? All I know is that I like how it sounds.noisepunk wrote:Nice, that's my setup a large majority of the time too- they all just go so well together. Re: How Many Dirt (OD, Fuzz, Dist.) Pedals Live On Your Boar
I used to use a green Sovtek Big Muff that I got in 1993, but it's really moody so I've stopped using it. I replaced it with a Wren & Cuff Tall Font Russian which I really like. I had also been using a Soundblox Multiwave Distortion, but decided I didn't really like it so I replaced it with two new pedals from Mooer Audio, a Green Mile Overdrive (TS clone) and Black Secret Distortion (Rat clone). I also use an Xotic Effects EP Booster. So I guess that makes four, the Muff, TS and Rat clones, and the boost.
