How Many Dirt (OD, Fuzz, Dist.) Pedals Live On Your Board?

Post by noisepunk » Fri Oct 05, 2012 4:17 pm

Just kind of curious. I only have two usually- a fuzz (big muff) and an OD/Boost/Distortion (double muff- so kind of like two I guess).

at the moment, I have four. ... I know it sounds like too many. But I love them

an overdrivey-like fuzz > muff type fuzz > octave/distortion > one knob boost.
(Gooby Bag o' Dicks > Upstate Analog sovtek muff > Malekko Helium > Wren&Cuff Phat Phuk)

Edit: three now. Sold the Malekko and swapped the Phat Phuk out for a Arc Effects Klone

I have four as well. I have a dual stage OD, followed by a boost/od, followed by a Turbo Rat, followed by a fuzz. So it's almost functionally like having five... :jacked:

It all gets put to good use, trust me. The only other pedals I have on my board are a tuner and a couple of delay pedals.

Only one at a time. RAT, Big Muff Pi, Ross distortion, Catalinbread DLS, Boss octave fuzz... depends on the gig.

fuzz factory, blue box, harmonic perc. While the first one can vary, the other two are constants.

Usually just the Barbershop OD and a fuzz. The board has been more theoretical than actual lately, though - I just have a board with a pile of pedals sitting next to it that I'm too lazy to hook up. :fp:

Lots of Fuck love here it seems.

3 max. SS/BS Fuck OD, big box Rat, and a Fulltone Fulldrive 2...but I rarely use/bring the Fulldrive.

Usually a fuzz and an overdrive. The fuzzes are either a fuzzface or a tone bender. The overdrive is typically a Timmy. If I play into my vox ac15 clone, I only use a hotcake.

3 at the moment.

Tube screamer -> RAT -> EHX Metal Muff -> Delay -> TU-2. The metal muff is replacing my HotCake, at least temporarily :shifty:
