Newish covers I adore

Chromatics

Dagger Moon - excellent and different Dead Moon cover

I'm On Fire - Bruce Springsteen Cover

Into the Black - not as good as above but I personally don't like the original that much

HTRK - Sweetheart - lovely Suicide cover

Hanna Peel - Electricity - OMD cover

Robert Smith - Small Hours - best thing I have heard him do in aeons

]Best Coast - The way Boys are lesley gore cover

Dirtbombs - Cosmic Cars- Cybotron Cover think their cover of Shari Vari isn't that good though

Gemma Ray - Ghost on The Highway Gun Club cover

Alpines and Maya Jane Coles - Why? carly Simon cover. Kuedo also nicked the melody from why for Scissors

Bat For Lashes - Strangelove Depeche Mode cover I also really like herA Forest cover

The Gutter Twins - Deep hit of Morning Sun - Primal scream cover. Sounds like the Cult :D

a very old favourite is;

The Pointer Sisters - Yes We Can (lee Dorsey cover)

Mighty, bigbottomed, clodhopping and yet stupefunky retread, that gets yer booty shakin. I super admire how this just rolls along in its missile locked mega groove.

Was in my opinion murdered as a sample on Unknown Mortal orchestras Ffunny Ffreinds. Like what's with the horrible digital crunchiness?

Truly one of my favorite covers EVER. Dulli...he's kinda God.

The Twilight Singers - "Wolf Like Me" (TV On The Radio cover)
"If I won that lottery, I'd buy a city block and have it re-designed to look exactly like downtown Hill Valley from Back To The Future. Then I'd hire actors to recreate the chase scene between Biff and Marty every day."
