Forgot how much I love Teles, AKA Tele Appreciation Thread

Post by RumorsOFsurF » Mon Sep 06, 2010 8:06 pm

I've been GASing for a proper US-made Tele for a while, so I wound up purchasing the Fiesta Thin Skin '62 a few weeks ago. Since then, I've remembered how much I love the sound, feel, and look of Telecasters. Man, they're just so amazing. They were my first love, and my first Fender. I still play my main JM more, but I'm loving my Teles. :w00t:

The current crop of Teles I own...

L to R: '97 Mexican toploader(My first Fender, not too great); 03(I think)White MIM Standard Tele with AVRI '52 pickups, ashtray bridge, B Bender, and witch hats; AV Thin Skin Fiesta Red '62 Tele Custom, '72 MIM Tele Deluxe

Squier VM and Handbuilt HH Tele

Though neither one really sounds like a tele, except the bridge position(sorta)

I want to mod the VM into a proper tele one of these days, and put a WRHB into the walnut tele. :?
My Fender goes to twelve.

The TS is my second double bound Custom. The first was a CIJ Bigsby...I never got on with it, but it sure was pretty.

I'm in the process of slowly turning a strat into a tele piece by piece. All I need is some sort of butterscotch body and I'm golden.
